Unser Partner P3 führt gemeinsam mit dem Institut für Informationsmanagement im Ingenieurwesen (IMI) eine Studie zum Thema Configuration Management durch, an der sich jeder beteiligen kann. Hier der Originaltext des Anschreibens:

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

mit zunehmender Komplexität in der Produktentwicklung, -herstellung und -wartung wird die systematische Nutzung von Produktinformationen über den gesamten Produktlebenszyklus zum Schlüssel für Produktqualität und -sicherheit. Configuration Management (CM) ist in diesem Themenkomplex eine notwendige und anerkannte Managementdisziplin.

Vor diesem Hintergrund untersucht das Institut für Informationsmanagement im Ingenieurwesen (IMI) am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie einen Ansatz zur Bewertung von Reifegraden in der Anwendung von Configuration Management mit Hilfe einer Online-Studie.

Dieser Ansatz ist Teil eines Projektes namens “Validation and Configuration Management in Safety Lifecycle”, das sich mit der Entwicklung einer CM-Reifegradbewertung für komplexe und sicherheitskritische Umgebungen beschäftigt. Als Teil des EU-Forschungsprojektes PURESAFE (“Preventing hUman intervention for incREased SAfety in inFrastructures Emitting ionizing radiation”) gehören bekannte akademische Institute und Forschungszentren wie z.B. CERN und GSI zu den Projektpartnern.

In diesem Zusammenhang interessieren wir uns für Ihr Verständnis von Configuration Management und die Umsetzung von CM in Ihrer Organisationsstruktur, Ihren Prozessen und IT Tools.

The online survey on "CMII Next Generation" has been ended. We received feedback and inputs from 137 customers - thanks to all that participated. We are going to analyze all inputs in the next days and will publish a summary in the first week of May.

The drawing of one iPad will also be in the first week of May - everything is still open, no winner has been elected yet ;-)

Based on customer requests we added new dates for CMII-01 and CMII-02 in June in Hamburg. Courses will take place on June 14 - 17, 2011 in the office of our partner P3 Aviation in Hamburg-Harburg.

The first PCM-02 (Practical CM Planning) will happen directly after the CMII Europe 2011 conference in Stuttgart. Language: English.
