Content

The course takes 2 days and is intended for middle and upper management, i.e. for people who have responsibility for people and/or processes in your organisation. In this course the most important elements and principles of the CMII courses will be compressed into 2 days for management.

The participants will learn why the topic Configuration Management is becoming more important for every quality-oriented and timing-driven business. It will be explained what enormous improvement and cost reduction potential is hidden within most organisations, if re- and double-work (so-called corrective actions) are reduced. The causes of these corrective actions will be shown and which solutions are offered by Configuration Management according to the CMII standard.

Managers will get an insight in this course into the CMII standard and how existing processes can be improved with the help of CMII. The course serves as a decision basis for the CMII training of the team members.

The following topics are addressed by this course in 2 days

  • Why businesses are requirements-driven
  • Why poor the poor quality of requirements is the reason for re- and double-work (corrective actions)
  • Why „good“ Configuration Management also has a positive influence on the quality of requirements
  • How the quality of requirements and other documentation can be significantly improved and so corrective actions reduced.

  • How variants and options (product families) can be handled
