Content

This course takes 4 days and is intended for those applying CMII, i.e. for companies which are already in the process of implementing CMII principles. The course includes the most important topics from Courses 1 - 4 in the CMII course series in compressed form – this is not a substitute for the course series. Course 12 is instead intended for organisations that already have in place a CMII Implementation Team with CMII certified people.

The training of CMII Key Users normally belongs to the CMII implementation process. This normally involves a large number of people for which the CMII course series is too time-consuming and detailed. An efficient and cost-effective alternative is offered by this course, which normally in only conducted on-site.

The following topics are covered by this course in 4 days:

  • How traditional Configuration Management (CM) works.
  • Why re- and double-work can be minimised using „modern CM“.
  • How „modern CM“ fundamentally works according to CMII methods
  • Why is good structuring and validation of documented information of exceptional importance
  • How CM should be applied in Engineering
  • How CMII should be applied in Production
  • How a common structure and „language“ between Engineering and Production can be achieved
  • How you can have more transparency by using so-called CMII baselines
  • How the workflow in the change process can be controlled by forms
  • What the recommended minimum content of the forms is
  • How interchangeability rules can be sensibly used to achieve traceability
  • How the effectivity of changes can be controlled
  • Which roles are needed in the change process
  • How change request are analysed, costs calculated and the correct decision is reached
  • How changes are planned and implemented
  • How changes should be validated and released.

Duration and location

The course takes 4 days and takes place internally in a company by arrangement

Course fees

The course fees are €17,800 (plus expenses for the trainer) for a maximum of 16 participants over 4 days.  It is recommended that this course does not take place in a companies own training/meeting room, but rather is a suitable external training suite, as normally the participants will be frequently called out to meetings, which from experience disturbs the training sequence and the learning success.
