FAQ

You would like to know who should participate in the training, how much the courses cost, where the training takes place, in which language the training will be done, in which language the training materials will be etc? You will find here the answers to these and other frequently asked questions.

Q: Who are these CMII courses intended for?

A: Courses 1 -4 provide detailed knowledge of the CMII standard and are therefore interesting for all those who would like to collect ideas and suggestions on process improvement. Courses 5 - 8 are for those people who are supposed to introduce CMII principles into the business.

Q: For which businesses is CMII interesting?

A: If your business is the development, manufacture and maintenance of products and/or services, and the necessary processes need to be optimised especially to reduce re-work, then participation at CMII courses makes good sense. You will receive there the details of the CMII standard and will be able to start with the process optimisation.

Q: Where does the training take place?

A: The public courses currently take place in Germany (Stuttgart and Hamburg), Great Britain (Kenilworth and Newbury), Holland (Hoofddorp), France (Toulouse and Paris) , Spain (Madrid) and Italy (Parma).

Q: In which language is the training given?

A: German-language courses with German documentation take place in Germany. English-language training with English documentation in UK,Holland, USA and South Africa. French-language courses with French training material take place in France, Spanish-language courses in Spain and Italian-language courses in Italy.

Q: Are the course contents different depending on country and/or language?

A: No - this is one of the biggest advantages of the CMII courses. The contents of the courses are identical all over the world.

Q: Must I take all the courses in the same country or can I "mix and match"?

A: If you understand the relevant language of course you can mix them - the course contents and their structure are identical irrespective of country.

Q: Must I take the training in numerical course sequence?

A: For courses 1 - 8 taking them in numerical order is recommended. You must begin with course 1 in any case. Afterwards deviations form the sequence are possible, just talk to us first.

Q: How can I register?

A: The simplest way is on-line registration under the heading "Schedule and Registration"

Q: How does the certification work, is there a test?

A: At the end of each course there is a test with 25 questions (multiple choice). To get the certificate all tests must be passed with at least 75% correct answers. The topics  for each test are comprehensively covered in each course and used in practical workshops - a special preparation is therefore normally not required.

Q: How long are the certificates valid for?

A; the certificates CMIIB, CMIIC, CMIIA do not become invalid - they have unlimited validity. The certificate CMIIP must be renewed every 3 years.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of training participants

A: Yes, the maximum participation is limited to 16 per course.

Q: What is the dress code?

A: You should feel comfortable. Suit and tie are not necessary. Casual clothing is completely acceptable.
